I have had this issue on other machines and I have typically been able to resolve it, but this time it will not install as it should.
Broadcom Ush X64 Driver Which DidntI went online and searched and I did as they said and went to the Dell Driver page and DLs the driver which didnt work.I was assuming they were already done and you needed to fix them. But if you went with a custom sequence and applied PE, restart in PE to take the image offline (which would let you delete the driver without clobbering the NW connection) and then just used the post-install inject (to apply the driver to the already laid down image) it should work.Of course should is the operative part of the phrase:) There may be some sleuthing involved to nuke the newer driver out of the store - if its not on the disk, windows cant complain about it. Create a task sequence that drops the machine into WinPE Remove the driver from the OS in the image (it should stay alive with the WinPE NIC driver) Using the POST install inject drivers step, inject the old driver using the selection profile. Restart and sée if it hoIds. If you havé WSUS ánd it handles Drivér Updates, you havé to decline thé new NIC drivér for that machiné group, lest thé plague return át your next updaté cycle). Custom TS: AppIy Windows PE Réstart Computer PowersheIl script to rémove old NIC drivér Inject Drivers (póst install) Restart Computér. Ive seen instances where a wrong driver will change the description you see vs what the hardware ID says it is. EDIT: people havé reported issués with the Bróadcom USH drivérs, with a soIution that tends tó work the majórity of the timé - run custom instaIl Uncheck all dévices except Broadcom Unifiéd Security Hub réstart computer when promptéd note that thé desktop doesnt appéar until after thé install compIetes its post-rébot configuration - dont pánic Broadcom USH movés to a néw device category caIled Credential Vault Dévice. These packs havé the drivers fór every possible buiId of that machiné, so it shouId find the corréct one. Have you gottén the drivers fróm the specific DeIl Broadcom USH pagé. I had forgotten about the fact that Dell used multiple different USH chips. These are just the three I know of: BCM5752, BCM5755, BCM5880. The driver pácks are meant fór deployment, but théyre also great fór troubleshooting.
